  • Is the program safe, well-supervised, challenging, and fun...?
    The program for teenagers is very safe because students are under constant supervision either by a chaperone or by a member of their host family. They learn Spanish in a funny, amusing, and challenging atmosphere.

  • What exactly does the $750 fee include?
    The fee includes tuition, home stay, all meals, airport pick up and drop off, exit taxes, activities and tours and hotel accomodations if required.

  • Do you ever have 13,14 or 15 year olds traveling there and attending alone, or are most of the students older?
    (My children are 13 and 15 years old. Are they too young to attend COSI?)
    The students who are enroll for the course are from age 13 to 17. They travel to Costa Rica alone and attend the program by themselves.

  • Do you offer any kind of family program for adults & teens?
    The teen program (from June 3 to August 19) takes place in other facilities which are about 18 miles away from the facilities where the adult program takes place. Then they will not be at the same facilities neither host families.

  • My children are 15,16,.. years old. Do they have to attend the teenage program?
    If they come from June 3 to August 19, they can attend the teen program. During the rest of the year, all students attend the regular program.

  • Do you offer the teenage program also in Manuel Antonio?
    No, the teenage program is held only in San Jose. A visit to Manuel Antonio is included in some of the weekend activities.

  • How many students attended the teenage program in the last year?
    Last year, 100 students were enrolled in the summer program. They study in small groups. At the same time there was an average range from 15 to 50.

  • If I come with my teenage daughter (son, niece, ...) can we stay in the same home? What kind of program can you offer us?
    It is not possible because both programs take place in different locations which are about 18 miles away from the other.

  • Where exactly is the school located? Can you describe the area?
    The school is located in a rural-urban area with coffee plantations. There are three small towns near. There are shopping malls within 4 miles.
